I have always lived in fear. And more than that, I had a combo deal: fear + anxiety. No more. Anxiety is my mind’s response to fear. I am now only focusing on the fear and it’s much less overwhelming. Also I realized that I super energize “negative” triggers. I’m now energizing positive and neutral moments too. You know what? Life isn’t as full of fear now.

A fellow therapist shared that she feels that while fear is an emotion, anxiety is not but rather our mind’s reaction to the fear emotion.

I started thinking… how will I breathe in fear and what will my response be? I always thought of it as a combo deal!

I could not have imagined what this week of NHA Peer Leader training would bring for me emotionally. It shook my confidence to its core. I emerge at a whole new level of knowing and strength. Level up complete!
