When my kids were younger, I used to DREAD summers.�☀️ Not because I didn’t want time with them—God, no.�

I just felt like I didn’t measure up in a million ways.

I couldn’t afford vacations.�🏜️
I was too overwhelmed to pull off Pinterest crafts.�🖍️
And I STILL don’t know how my neighbors had enough friends to fill an entire pool party. 🥳 👙

And speaking of pools… I couldn’t even get my sh*t together to get my kids through a round of swim lessons. 🏊‍♂️

I was ashamed. And I just wanted to hide inside until winter.

Things are different now, of course. My kids are teenagers.
But back then? No one told me that what they really needed... was ME.

Peaceful, present, imperfect me.
(Okay fine—they probably still wish they had swim lessons. But you get it.)

So I created my “It’s Really Not That Deep” Summer Bucket List for the moms who feel like I did back then.�For the moms who need to hear:
