Baby E was pushed earthside at 3:10 am on 8/10/24, a true Kobe fan! Dad in his ‘girl dad’ Kobe’s, mom labored at home and once at the hospital pushed baby girl out in 32 minutes (ROCKSTAR!). This is my second opportunity to work and be with this family for their birth journeys and I could not be more grateful. Truly happy to welcome baby girl to the family ✨🤍

This couples love and trust in each other was amazing to witness.
Their trust in me was unmatched. We all supported each other through nearly 50hrs of labor. He advocated for her, she advocated for her daughter and I was able to support them both. I thank them endlessly for it all 🤍

We live in a society that will go on extravagant babymoons, create the perfect Pottery Barn nursery, buy a SNOO, throw huge gender reveals and have multiple showers.
Yet we also live in a society that finds doulas, lactation consultants, pelvic floor specialists and chiropractors to be a luxury.

Studies have shown that doulas can help cut back on time spent in labor, reduce a mom's and/or coach's anxiety, lower the rate of medical interventions (including C-sections) and improve mother-baby bonding post-birth. Medical bills are expensive, c-section and IV’s are huge money makers. And hospitals are not there with your best interest. So I ask…Is there a price on health, education and advocacy?

Adding a doula/doula services to your registry is an amazing way to help afford these services. Most doulas are willing to work within your means and can help to figure out different avenues of providing services for you. Working together is what we do best!

It’s common for expecting fathers to feel anxious and somewhat unprepared to take on their new role. Fortunately, there are so many wonderful resources available to you as a dad!
