Cervical cancer is caused when cancer cells arise in the cervix. It connects the uterus to the va**na. Most cases are caused by the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) infection. Hence vaccinations that protect against this virus could prevent a majority of cases.
Increasing screening and prevention are critical components of eradicating cervical cancer.
