Specialty Hospital of Central Jersey is a small, integrated "hospital-within-a-hospital" with the sole focus of caring for medically complex patients. Patients are typically referred to us through physicians, nurses, case managers or social workers from an intensive care unit. Under the direction of our chief medical officer, our team of highly skilled clinicians works together with specialists to design and implement a therapeutic plan for each patient. Situated on the campus of a larger medical center, Specialty Hospital of Central Jersey is able to draw from the vast resources of a full-service hospital, while staying singularly focused on the care of our particular patients. We are equipped to deliver comprehensive care that includes diagnostic and medical treatment, and rehabilitation for a full range of medically complex conditions. Specialty Hospital of Central Jersey is an independent entity, offering the benefits of a more individualized hospital setting, combined with such life-support services as ventilator weaning, complex wound care, parenteral nutrition, respiratory and cardiac monitoring and dialysis. Our facilities offer the latest technology in life-support systems and a full range of services, including:

• Around the clock critical care nursing and respiratory professionals providing bedside/central monitoring of cardiac rhythm, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate and blood pressure
• Ventilator program
• Bedside dialysis
• Total parenteral nutrition
• Peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) program
• Blood bank
• Diagnostic radiology and laboratory services
• Interventional radiological procedures
• Respiratory therapy and ventilation weaning
• Physical, occupational and speech therapies, including a low-tolerance rehabilitation program
• Nutrition therapy
• Advanced wound healing technologies
• Infection control
• Case management and discharge planning
