A year ago, St. Anthony Hospital launched the Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) program. We proudly celebrate the first anniversary of the program!

ECMO is the most advanced form of temporary life support, offering a critical lifeline to patients with severe heart or lung failure. It acts as a temporary replacement for these vital organs, providing crucial time for them to heal. Being one of the select few facilities in the state equipped to offer this highly specialized treatment is a testament to St. Anthony Hospital's comprehensive resources and the expertise of our dedicated team of caregivers.

Our 26th Annual Trauma Symposium was a success, bringing together over 150 vital hospital staff and prehospital partners. The day was packed with essential learning, from insights on the importance of whole blood and specialized nursing to EMS breakouts and Flight for Life simulations.

From patient stories to expert knowledge, this symposium celebrated the heart of trauma care and reinforced our vision for an integrated trauma system that ensures the best possible outcomes for the communities we serve.

A wave of blue balloons, a chorus of cheers, and an outpouring of love marked a truly miraculous day. Surrounded by over 100 first responders, hospital staff, and extended family, Evergreen High School student Matthew Silverstone was released from CommonSpirit Health St. Anthony Hospital.

"He’s brave. He’s strong, determined — a survivor," nurses from Matthew's care team shared. Every member of his care team, the support of the first responders, and acts of kindness from the community were integral to his journey of healing.

The second of the two shooting victims from the Sept. 10 Evergreen High School shooting has been released from the hospital, his family announced through the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office…

St. Anthony Hospital received the Colorado Hospital Association award for the most tissue donors in a large hospital for 2024!

In 2024, St. Anthony had 117 tissue donors who helped over 8,700 people. This incredible recognition is a tribute to our dedicated caregivers and chaplains for their diligent communication with Donor Alliance, as well as the families we care for.
