Tension and migraine headaches?!?! Who needs them? NOT ME! 🤯
Here’s how massage can help: in the article, Massage Therapy Effect, Tiffany Field states that people who received deep tissue manipulation, 8 sessions, 2 per week for 4 weeks lasting 30 mins showed increased awareness, had less pain, diminishing stress, anxiety and depression symptoms.
Here’s her quote for the tension headaches section of her article:
“By the last day of the study the massage therapy
group showed fewer distress symptoms, reported less pain, had more headache-free days, were taking fewer analgesics, and having fewer sleep disturbances, and their serotonin (5HIAA in urine) levels were higher” (Field, 1998, p 1274)🤓
BUT, it doesn’t have to be this frequent forever, in other research that myself and others have done, massage effects can begin to take hold after 5 months of regular (monthly) massages. It takes longer, but results are still evident. Message me to schedule your session to becoming less prone to tension headaches. 🥰
