Helping active adults recover & move better

I love getting clients on their side as it helps me access certain areas of the body with a bit more ease for me as the massage therapist and you as the receiver.

Here, I can access the serratus anterior which plays a part in the shoulder/neck pain you may be experiencing. Furthermore, I can access the lats, subscapularis, get a pec stretch in, etc.

You may have experienced it if you ever had a prenatal massage as well. It's not what I do, but it demonstrates the versatility of this position!

Saying good bye to my last massage booking platform and welcoming a new one!

It only took me a month of suffering, and a week and a half of intense testing and tweaking 😭 I have aimed to make sure that your booking experience is as smooth and easy as possible 👍

You can book through all the regular channels: my Instagram profile, website, and Facebook (Google is working on taking my old link down from the Book Now button and replacing it with the new one).

Thank you for your continued support!

Update from the last post!

I think I finally found the booking platform that is going to be the best fit, so I'll be switching things over soon. I'll be sending messages to announce it soon!

02/24/2026

Update: I will be switching booking platforms very soon! Apologies for the inconvenience for those of you who've used it to book appointments with me.

As frustrating as this is, I am working on finding a better alternative and I will be making sure things such as unused credits will be transferring over to the new platform!

Stay tuned and thank you for the continued support of my massage business!

*The tool can be substituted by a peanut tool or 2 lacrosse balls stuffed in a sock 👍

I'm still recovering from getting my wisdom teeth taken out, so I've been feeling drowsy and lazy. Here's an easy selfcare exercise that you can do with a tool even on your laziest of days!

Simply, place that suboccipital (base of the skull) area on top of your tool and let your weight sink in. You can do this while being seated as well, but it'll take slightly more effort as you'll have to actively lean into the tool.

This is a nice way to self-massage the area that gets very tense when you're always looking into a screen!

As always, don't...
Overwork it
Use excessive pressure
Work too hard

If you are feeling pain or discomfort, stop and go see your primary care provider.

I had my wisdom teeth removed and will be out of commission this week. I'll be open as usual next week, unless complications arise.

My recent dental issues have reminded me the importance of selfcare. If you care after yourself daily, you'll be more likely to avoid big future expenses 👍

Now don't forget to brush your teeth twice a day and floss daily 🦷 And move, stretch, and exercise daily 🧘🏃

Side note: The surgery itself was way better than I had imagined and man, that anesthesia knocked me into a good nap 😂

Do you prefer a massage that moves fast or the one that moves slow?

My massage style reflects what I like to receive and that is a massage that moves slowly. There are some moments where I will use a rapid technique, but slow, sinking techniques overall.

If that's your cup of tea as well, come give me a try when you're on the west side of the Denver metro area!

Being consistent is difficult!

Selfcare takes a conscious effort just like posting selfcare videos. We are creatures of quick, tangible results and usually, selfcare pays off in the longer term.

It's a continuous battle to keep yourself active, loose, and mentally well. But remember this: doing something is better than nothing no matter how small an act it is.

It's a marathon and not a sprint 😉

Have you hurt yourself doing something like reaching for something in the back seat or while snow shoveling? Maybe during pickleball or tennis since you're active?

Our spine rotates to help us rotate during these activities, but for some, we may be getting too much rotation in one section while not getting enough in another.

Our thoracic spine (the section of the spine connected to the ribs) is supposed to rotate well as our low back section (lumbar spine) is much more suited to bending forward and backward than to rotate. Our neck is good at rotating, but we may end up rotating too much there if our thoracic spine isn't helping.

This stretch may be a good one to try if you've hurt yourself with rotation in the past!

As always, don't...
Overwork it
Use excessive force
Work too hard

If you are feeling pain or discomfort, stop and go see your primary care provider.

People often seek out massage and bodywork for things such as neck pain.

Here is a simple stretch you can do for selfcare that targets muscles such as the suboccipitals, splenius capitis, etc.

If you don't feel the stretch, try moving your hands further up on your skull. Again, no need to exert effort as the weight of your hands should be plenty to give you a stretch.

Let me guess, you work a desk job that has built up tension in your shoulders and neck, impeding your ability when you're trying to be active and destress from work?

You're not alone out there and this is how I help: with a nice myofascial release massage technique applied along your shoulders 😆

With your shoulders released, that's one less thing to worry about when you're spending your weekend exercising 👍

Different massage therapists have different styles and different techniques they use. This is why it's important to check what a massage therapist does before going to see them to make sure what they do fits what you may be looking for.

I like to incorporate stretches and movements into my massage sessions as I help active adults recover and move better!

If you're ever curious about more of what I do, scroll through my page and website, or feel free to shoot a dm! I'd be happy to answer any questions 👍

Here, I'm bracing at the hip while pulling the arm away to create a stretch at the client's torso.
