Alzheimer’s - a form of dementia, affects more than 90,000 people aged 65 and older in Colorado. And that number is likely much higher since Alzheimer’s is typically underdiagnosed.

If you’re caring for an individual with Alzheimer’s/Dementia, we.see you.

SO EXCITED to share some good news from our friends at the Colorado Alliance for Caregiving Youth CACY-Colorado Alliance For Caregiving Youth.

The Colorado General Assembly has passed a unanimous resolution recognizing caregiving youth statewide — affirming that young people who care for aging, chronically ill, or disabled family members deserve to be seen and supported.

Sen. Iman Jodeh and Rep. Naquetta Ricks championed this — and many young adults shared their stories at the Capitol.

National Caregiver’s Day is February 20th!

It’s a day to honor caregivers and their critical contributions to our families, communities and healthcare system. We share our appreciation for the dedication and compassion of professional and family caregivers who provide support and care to others.

Caregivers play an indispensable role in ensuring the health, dignity, and quality of life of the people they serve. They:

❤️‍🩹Reduce the burden on healthcare systems by enabling individuals to remain at home.
❤️‍🩹Provide emotional stability to families during times of illness or crisis.
❤️‍🩹Ensure continuity of care, which is critical for managing chronic conditions or recovery.

Whether professional or informal, caregivers are often the lifeline for those who cannot fully care for themselves, making their role invaluable in society.
