Today we honor all our veterans within NSP! Former service members make up 13% of our organization, illustrating that dedication runs deep in our community.

Military experience maps directly to patrol work: leadership under pressure, risk assessment in dynamic terrain, radio discipline, team coordination, medical care, and a steadfast service ethic. These skills strengthen avalanche operations, rope and toboggan rescues, incident command, and the training of new patrollers.

To all who served—and still serve on the hill—thank you.

We are proud to highlight our partnership with Mammut, whose support enabled four NSP patrollers to attend the National Avalanche School—professional training that exceeds A3 Pro 1 standards and prepares leaders to make better decisions in avalanche terrain.

These scholarships strengthen patrol readiness where it matters most: advanced snowpack assessment, mitigation planning, and rescue leadership. Recipients will bring new skills back to their teams—mentoring peers, improving forecasting, supporting avy dog operations, and raising the standard of mountain safety across their patrols.

Today is National First Responder Day!

Ski patrollers deliver emergency care, perform complex rescues, and help promote safety in ski area environments. What sets patrollers apart is their ability to respond in challenging alpine terrain and provide advanced care miles from traditional medical support, such as stabilizing an injury on a steep slope.

NSP Bike Athletes just wrapped a powerful 2025 season!

From podium finishes to trail patrol, our NSP Bike Athletes brought the spirit of service and strength to every mile this summer.

Michelle McGee, Maddie Miller, and Samantha Braden tackled grueling races, mentored others, and represented NSP with heart and grit. Whether climbing 15,000 feet or coaching the next generation, they proved what it means to ride with purpose.
