Fall. Little finger pain. ——————————————————————-Radiograph shows a fracture through a non aggressive lytic lesion with punctate chondroid matrix at the base proximal phalanx little finger. Skeletally mature. ———————————————————
Dx: enchondroma with fracture———————————————————Enchondromas occur in hands and feet half of time. Usually non aggressive appearing with distinct margins in the metaphysis. Rings and arcs (chondroid matrix) are sometimes present. If there is aggressive appearing change over time, one should presume malignant degeneration into a chondrosarcoma. —————————————————————
