Slow, mindful breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system — your body’s natural “rest and restore” mode. This is especially important during the holidays, when schedules are full, emotions run high, and it can feel hard to slow down.

Next time you feel overwhelmed, pause for just one minute and take 5 slow, deep breaths. Let your shoulders soften. Let your jaw unclench. Even small moments of intentional breathing can help bring you back to center.

Your nervous system — and your holiday season — will thank you. 🌿

Looking to deepen your practice as we close out the year? Join us for one of our weekly Flow, Restore, or Yin classes — there’s something for every body and every level.

As a reminder, we also have some heartfelt goodbyes coming up. Two of our long-standing teachers, Fay and Dani, will be moving out of state at the start of the new year. Our last day practicing together with both of them will be January 1. We’d love to see you on the mat as we celebrate their presence and the impact they’ve had on our community.

It is our intention to give back to the community as well, and with that in mind, we are hosting a food drive through December 20th and collecting shelf stable/ non perishable item donations. Some examples include:

Peanut butter
Pasta
Tuna
Beef stew
Chili baked beans
Soup
Canned fruit
Canned vegetables
Jelly
Sugar
Coffee
Dry rice
Dry beans
Cooking oils

Please, no glass, damaged, or expired food
