Kearny County Hospital is proud to honor our very first DAISY Award recipient, Ashley Orosco, RN!

The DAISY Award is an international program that recognizes nurses for extraordinary care. Ashley was nominated by a grateful patient who experienced a long and emotional labor and delivery journey. Ashley provided compassionate care throughout the entire process. In the patient's own words: "Ashley is the definition of what a nurse should be."

We are so grateful for Ashley and all of our nurses who pour their hearts into caring for our community every single day.

Kearny County Hospital's 2026 New Year Baby, Averly Özlem, was born on January 1, 2026, at 5:46 am to Fani Vasquez Lopez. Averly weighed 5 pounds 13 ounces and was 19 ½ inches long.

Averly was showered with gifts from Kearny County Hospital, Kearny County Hospital team members, KCB Bank, J&J Pharmacy, Lakin Drug Pharmacy, Cinnamon Bear, and Francis Dinkel.

For the calendar year of 2025, Kearny County Hospital had a total of 330 births.
