Lamar Hospice . We care for the entire family as they support their loved ones through a difficult time in their life. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our staff of nurses, social workers, home health aides, volunteers, respite providers, chaplains and numerous consultants can meet multiple needs.

Bent County Correctional Facility Hosted a Cancer Walk in October 2025. The facility's residents and staff worked together in support of local community members battling cancer. They raised an impressive $12,415 which was split with La Junta’s Arkansas Valley Hospice and Lamar Area Hospice. We thank them for their spirit of compassion for families who are facing a serious illness. Standing is Collette Widener (CFO/Hospice), Steven Salazar (Asst. Warden), Shawna Gonzales (Chief of Unit Management) & Jessica Gallegos (Unit Manager). Seated is Adrianna Perez (Accounting Clerk) & Deb Pelley (Exe. Director/Hospice).
