Childcare Position - Lancaster, PA
Position Overview
A Lancaster-based family is seeking a caring and reliable childcare professional to provide consistent care for their newborn, starting May 4, 2026. Both parents are small business owners who require flexible, dependable support to balance their professional responsibilities with their growing family.

Schedule
Primary Schedule: Weekdays 12pm-5pm M-TH and Fridays 11am-4pm
Occasional Weekend Support: 6-8 times per year due to National Guard training commitments and weekend wedding business obligations
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $24-$29 per hour, commensurate with experience
Guaranteed Hours and Pay: Consistent weekly hours with guaranteed compensation
Generous paid time off :50 hours of paid time off after 3 months

Both parents are small business owners in Lancaster
Pet-friendly household with two friendly dogs (one Goldendoodle and one Sheepadoodle)

Comfortable with Pets: At ease in a home with two large, friendly dogs
Responsibilities
Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for newborn/infant
Maintain consistent feeding, sleeping, and play routines
Monitor and support developmental milestones
Maintain a clean and safe environment for the child
Communicate regularly with parents about daily activities and any concerns
Let dogs outside as needed when parents are not home.
Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling to accommodate parents' business needs
Requirements
Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certification required
Experience: Minimum 3+ years of paid infant and toddler care experience
Driving: Clean driving record and reliable transportation
Vaccination: Must be current with Tdap
Screening: Must be willing to submit to a background check and ten-panel drug test
