Dedicated staff with Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health women and children's community programs provide valuable services to at-risk families.

Healthy Beginnings Plus, Nurse-Family Partnership, and Family Planning Program teams offer prenatal and postpartum education, child development information, home visitation, case management, essential supplies with a diaper and menstrual product bank, and free reproductive health care.

During National Child Abuse Prevention Month, these employees had the opportunity for a day of training to strengthen their own resilience and well-being.

"We're grateful for this training that will help our teams better navigate the challenging issues facing the families they serve," said Dawn Horst, manager of Women and Children’s Community Health.

As you plan your weekend, remember to stop by the Gifts that Give Hope Lancaster Fair on Sunday! December 1st from 11AM to 4 PM. This festive event is an alternative giving fair that provides an opportunity to purchase meaningful gifts in the form of a donation to any of the participating nonprofits. Donors receive an information card about the nonprofit along with a greeting card for presenting their gift. Come check out the marketplace for fair trade and sustainable goods, and even enjoy lunch! Join Nurse-Family Partnership Lancaster at the Farm & Home Center, 1383 Arcadia Road, Lancaster PA for a festive, family friendly event where everyone can find meaningful gifts for everyone on their shopping lists!

Mark your calendar for next Sunday, December 1st to attend the Gifts that Give Hope Lancaster Gift Fair! This festive, family friendly event will be held from 11AM to 4PM at the Farm and Home Center in Lancaster, PA. Shoppers can purchase meaningful gifts in the form of a donation to the nonprofit of their choice. There will also be a marketplace, food trucks, and more! We would love to see you, so come join the festivities and stop by to visit us at the Nurse-Family Partnership table.
