Today we celebrate National Funeral Directors Day and the incredible work of Tiffany and Mariah.

Being a funeral director takes compassion, patience, and a heart for serving others during some of life’s most difficult moments. Tiffany and Mariah go above and beyond every day to guide families with care, dignity, and kindness. Their dedication to honoring lives and supporting our community does not go unnoticed.

Please join us in thanking Tiffany and Mariah for the meaningful work they do and for the comfort they provide to so many families. We are grateful for you today and every day.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this afternoon for our Lunch & Learn on Preplanning Funeral Arrangements. We truly appreciate you taking the time to be part of such an important and meaningful conversation. A special thank you to our guest speaker, Sarah Schwieger, for sharing her knowledge, compassion, and guidance. Your insight made the afternoon both informative and comforting.

We’re looking forward to welcoming another wonderful group later today at 5:30 PM and continuing these thoughtful discussions together.

Proudly Serving Area Families

Martin Schwartz Funeral Homes & Crematory encompasses over 130 years of family and traditions. The Schwartz Funeral Home in Lancaster began as Goble & Son in 1882 and in 1956 was purchased by John and Margaret O'Rourke. In 1986, the O'Rourke funeral home was purchased by Terrence A. Schwartz. He and his partner, Gregory R. Martin, consolidated the funeral homes into Martin Schwartz Funeral Homes & Crematory, in 2001.

In 2016 our new Facility, Martin Schwartz Funeral Homes & Crematory in Lancaster opened. We now have our own on site crematory. We currently have the largest funeral home chapel and parking lot in Grant County. In addition, our gathering room can accommodate catered funeral dinners.
