Ever feel like you can’t win wit your knees?

A lot of the confusion around knee pain is because most places only focus on the spot that hurts.

Yet fail to focus on the very mobile joints surrounding the knee.

So while you may have been shown how to calm things down, you’ve never been shown how to make sure the entire village is supporting the knee!

When your hip, foot, and ankle are moving their best, your knee will feel its best!

It’s not…

🔹the location
🔹the transportation that got you there
🔹the activities you planned
🔹how much money you spent

It can all be boiled down to one thing…

Presence.

Your ability to live in the moment and soak in the time that’s meant to bring your family closer together.

But when you’re dealing with chronic pain, this is one of the hardest things to do.

You can’t be present because you’re sitting out during activities, watching from afar, watching memories get made instead of making them with everyone else.

Your family would rather have your presence on a cheap vacation than your absence on an expensive one.

Stop listening to every health guru on the internet.

You probably have a different schedule and different priorities than most of the people you follow online.

So if you try to play the game by their rules, you will certainly lose.

Instead, find what fits your schedule and your priorities.

Not everyone has the same amount of time to lift or to prep meals, but at the end of the day you still have to do your best with what you’re given.

This isn’t an opportunity to make excuses but instead a chance to identify your obstacles and game plan around them.

Have you ever thought listening to the doctors orders of “don’t do this” or “avoid this at all costs” are what’s keeping you in pain?

It may seem like helpful advice at first but avoidance only creates fear.

The more you avoid because of your pain, the more you become afraid of, which doesn’t solve your pain.

You feel better for a little bit because you aren’t doing as much, but the your body becomes frail and weak.

Before you know it, you’ve dug an even deeper hole for yourself.

The problem isn’t that “nothing works” or that you are “unfixable”.

It’s that you are avoiding the things that would actually help you.

BUT…

Those things require real sacrifice and hard work but the things you’re trying are only the changes that are convenient for you to make.

Deep down you know it.

But if the story you tell yourself is “I’m broken and unfixable”, then naturally you will seek things out that confirm that story, because we all want to be right!

Our office is for people ready to put in the effort to see some big changes, not for those wanting something else to check off their list of things that don’t work.

Stiff hips are no match for a high quality hip hinge.

It’s simple but definitely not easy.

The shaking isn’t from weakness necessarily, just the body mapping out some new found motion!

Stretching is overrated.

Might give temporary relief but mostly because it’s just your body getting used to the stretching sensation.

If your goal is to be good at stretching than I guess it makes sense, otherwise there’s better options out there that will also have more benefits!

Mobility, strengthening that range of motion, and owning that motion by adding in speed and agility

There is no such thing as pain-free.

You’re on one of two sides.

You either know how to manage your pain

Or you don’t.

The people that know what to do, get the closest experience to being pain free.

When something pops up they know how to handle it.

So it may pop up quick but it goes away just as fast and rarely becomes a bigger issue.

Those who don’t know what to do, rarely experience this feeling.

They scroll social media endlessly looking for answers, they feel their pain has backed them into a corner and they don’t know how to escape.

You understanding your body more is the key to being “pain-free”.
