There should be a plan.

In that plan should be a finish line.

If I had just injured myself…

My first stop wouldn’t be to get imaging done.

Unless there were obvious signs of a broken bone/torn muscle or ligament.

Honestly you could have a perfectly healthy back and those images might still find some stuff.

But what research has shown us is that not everything we find on an X-ray or an MRI equals pain.

It sure gets easy to convince ourselves that though once you see the results 😂

Have a movement problem? Get it assessed first.

If you need imaging, a good clinician will let you know any way!

It’s not a tendon, ligament, muscle, or bone…

It’s your mental!

If you want to be done dealing with chronic pain, you must think and act like someone who owns their pain.

“You must first pretend to sleep, to fall asleep.”

If touching your toes always hurts your back, constantly feels stiff, but never seems to get better with stretching…

It’s not just because you “have a bad back” 🙄

The reason you are tight is because your body is trying to protect you from tha motion!

Your brain fears touching your toes because it has a bad memory of it.

Similar reason as to why most of us try not to touch hot surfaces anymore…we learned than it hurt!

So to loosen up your back and decrease the pain, you need to safely show your brain that bending your back is safe, not bad!
