This week we kicked off our first Growing Health workshop with a focus on kale! Participants learned how to grow this nutrient-rich superfood while also exploring the health benefits of gardening, including daily movement and improved mental well-being

Horticulture Agent Abigail Taylor guided the gardening portion, while Rural Health & Nutrition Agents Hannah and Elizabeth shared kale’s nutritional benefits and how to prepare it in healthy recipes. 🥗🍴

A big thank you to the Fort Lawn Community Center for hosting us. Be on the lookout for our next Growing Health workshop coming this spring! 🌸
