Last year I moved to Lancaster, PA with the intention of re-starting a practice from scratch. To my surprise, Turnpaugh Health and Wellness Center has offered me a position at their Manheim and Strasburg locations! I'm delighted to have joined their team as a CranioSacral therapist. It's a joy to be working alongside other providers with resources for Functional Health, and their support staff does an incredible job of supporting patients and practitioners in delivering our care.

If you've been following my page, then you may already know. Last year I closed my practice in Goshen IN and moved to Lancaster PA to care for my mom through the end of her life. She accomplished a peaceful death at home, with Dad reading aloud at her bedside. I'm so thankful that she allowed me to care for her through her final months of life.

Now I'm beginning to put my practice back together in Pennsylvania, beginning with Nutrition consultations. Let's talk about diabetes risk. My own genetics carry a trend towards diabetes, it's a family trait. Even a nutrient-dense, low carb diet hasn't been enough to keep my Hemoglobin A1c (HgbA1c) from creeping up.

In the past three months, I've been trying out a new probiotic that works on GLP-1 receptors. You've heard of Ozempic and other, newer diabetes meds? They work on the same pathway. And I'm delighted to learn that my HgbA1c has dropped 0.6 points in 3 months - without ozempic or any prescription blood sugar medications!!

Lincoln avenue is closed as of today between Logan and Olive streets. If you're coming from town, good routes are Blackport drive, or Steury ave. The city estimates construction will take approximately 2 weeks.

Attention bodyworkers and movement teachers:

We all know masks aren't a perfect solution. But they do reduce the quantity of microbes spread. It's a simple courtesy that we can offer each other, and one I continue to require in my office, regardless of vaccination status. Also - have you washed your mask lately? Yikes! It's going to be a little harder to get to the east side of Goshen for the time being. Please plan your detour carefully!

Norfolk Southern will close the several railroad crossings in Goshen in the coming weeks to make repairs and repave.

The following crossings will be closed between Wednesday, June 16, and Friday, June 25, 2021:

• East Lincoln Avenue
• Cottage Avenue
• Main Street
• 1st Street

The following crossings will be closed between June 21 and July 2:

• Greene Road
• County Road 13

Lastly, the crossing at Sunnyside Avenue (outside of Goshen city limits) will be closed between June 28 and July 7, 2021.
