๐ฅ CINDYโS BREAKTHROUGH MOMENT TODAY ๐ฅ
This morning during my class we took on the benchmark WOD โKelly.โ
For anyone unfamiliar, Kelly is a gritty, full-body stamina test:
5 Rounds For Time:
๐โโ๏ธ 400m Run
๐ฆ 30 Box Jumps
๐ 30 Wall Balls
Itโs long, tough, and demands a lot of mental and physical grit.
Before we started, I challenged everyone to attempt some version of a box jump instead of instantly scaling to step-ups. Not for the score โ but for the growth.
Cindy came in ready. She started by jumping onto two 45lb plates, which was already a win. But watching her in those first two rounds, I knew she had more in her. I knew she was capable of hitting a 15โ box jump.
So I brought a box over, stood shoulder-to-shoulder with her, held her hand for assurance, and promised I wouldnโt let her fall.
For a few minutes she triedโฆ hesitatedโฆ tried againโฆ battling the mental side of the movement.
And then โ after coaching, patience, and courage โ she went for it.
And she nailed it.
She hit a few more reps with me by her side, and then finished the final 3 rounds on her own, strong and confident.
