Get ready to light up the night for a great cause! The 44th Annual Gainer-Race Memorial Softball Weekend is returning with its signature Overnight Charity Co-Ed Tournament at Froelich Park in Mountville. Starting at the stroke of midnight on Friday, May 29th, teams will face off in a high-energy, 7/3 format, double-elimination battle under the stars. Whether you’re swinging for the fences with a home run band or grinding through the bracket to claim the champion’s trophy and cash prize, every inning played helps make a difference in our community.

This year’s event proudly raises vital funds for the Lancaster Cleft Palate Clinic, Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development, Sunny Day Camp, 4 Cole’s Kids, and other children-focused non-profits throughout Lancaster County. Your participation ensures these organizations can continue providing essential therapies, education, and socialization for local kids. Entry is $400 per team (balls and umpire fees included), with buy-back plays and home run bands available for $25. It's time to sign up and play in the all-abilities softball game on May 30! All kids 4-12 are invited and there is a carnival after. These activities are FREE!

It’s time for the highlight of the weekend! We are thrilled to host the Gainer-Race Memorial Kids Game on Saturday, May 30th, at Froelich Park in Mountville. Starting at 10:00 am, this all-inclusive softball game is designed for kids of all abilities, ages 4–12. We believe every child deserves the chance to experience the joy of the game, and we’ve created a supportive, high-energy environment where everyone can shine. The fun doesn't end when the final out is made—stick around for our Post-Game Carnival featuring games and activities for the whole family!

Presented by Ira G. Steffy & Son Inc., this event is a core part of our mission to support children-focused non-profits in Lancaster County. It’s a day centered on inclusion, socialization, and, most importantly, having fun. Our outdoor space sparkles brighter today because of these amazing volunteers. They came for their Mitzvah Day to spruce up our flower bed and help make sure our patients always feel valued.
