The Lancaster Police Department is proud to offer the Special Needs and Disabilities Safety Roster. This is a voluntary, confidential program designed to help our officers safely and effectively assist community members with special needs or disabilities.
Caregivers, guardians, or individuals themselves can register important information such as communication styles, emergency contacts, medical conditions, and calming strategies. This information helps officers respond with care, patience, and understanding during emergencies.
The roster is open to Lancaster residents of all ages with conditions such as autism, dementia, developmental disabilities, mental health concerns, mobility limitations, or any other need that may impact interactions with first responders.
