Last week, we had a wonderful visit from Fairfield County Parks, where we learned all about Ohio’s native flowers, plants, seasonal changes, and butterflies.
Together, we explored, asked questions, and got creative by making beautiful sun catchers to take home! 🌼🦋

🌿🚶‍♂️ Happy Take a Walk in the Park Day! 🚶‍♀️🌿

Today’s the perfect reminder to slow down, step outside, and reconnect with nature. Whether it’s a peaceful stroll under the trees, a walk with your dog, or just a few quiet moments on a park bench, getting outside can do wonders for your mood and mindset.

Fresh air, sunshine, and a little movement can help reduce stress, boost creativity, and improve overall well-being. You don’t need a big plan—just lace up your shoes and go. 🌳✨

This is what community collaboration looks like 💙 We’re honored to bring the PACE vehicle to Destination Downtown Lancaster events and support a more inclusive downtown experience for everyone!
We are excited to see everyone at the upcoming events!

March is Developmental Disability Awareness Month! Part of our mission at DDL is "creating a vibrant future where all people feel welcome." We strive to make our downtown events accessible to everyone, and it's gotten a little easier thanks to the PACE (Progress toward Accessible Community Experiences) vehicle unit from Fairfield Center for Independence, which provides an accessible changing area and/or a calming environment to take a sensory break. 💙

Thanks to FCI and the PACE vehicle, we can be more inclusive and ensure more community members can participate comfortably. Be on the lookout for the PACE vehicle at each of our Saturday Cinema events, ArtWalk, and Winterfest!
