Celebrating Music Therapy Month! We’re proud to recognize the incredible work of our Expressive Arts team during Music Therapy Month. This weekend, our Manager of Expressive Arts, Kristin, MMT, MT BC, presented “Songwriting as Storytelling Through Playful Means” at the Mid Atlantic Region of the American Music Therapy Association (MAR AMTA) conference.
Her session showcased the power of creativity, connection, and play in the therapeutic songwriting process, drawing inspiration from group songwriting interventions with the individuals in our care.
Pictured here with co presenter Tim W., a former LBHH intern, the duo energized attendees with meaningful strategies that bring voice, expression, and healing to those we serve. Last week, Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital was proud to participate in the PA Student Assistance Program (SAP) Conference in State College! Our Community Relations Representative, Greg, attended as a vendor to share information about LBHH’s services, highlight available behavioral health resources and connect with dedicated professionals from across Pennsylvania who support student well being. The SAP Conference brings together school staff, mental health partners and community organizations committed to helping students succeed and LBHH is honored to be part of these meaningful conversations.

Winter fun in our Outpatient area! We’re excited to share some of the fun artwork now displayed in our Outpatient area, home to our Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs.
Some of our newest projects include decorative hearts for Valentine’s Day, a series of colorful Punxsutawney Phils “celebrating” six more weeks of winter and an adult coloring page that brings stress relief and relaxation!
These bright, cheerful pieces add a playful touch, helping create an environment that feels welcoming, positive and full of personality.
We love how these small moments of creativity can lift spirits and bring smiles throughout the day.

Last week, our team brought spirit from The Big Game to work with a day and evening celebration dedicated to appreciating the incredible staff who keep everything running strong. Employees showed off their pride by repping their favorite teams jerseys, team colors and plenty of friendly rivalry filled the building!
Pizza, boneless wings, salad and football shaped brownies were served in the gym, with additional deliveries made to breakrooms for a mid shift boost. Whether teammates stopped by during the day or overnight, everyone had a chance to join in the fun and connect with one another.
Thank you to all our amazing employees for your hard work, dedication and teamwork. Your passion is what makes our organization a winning team!

We had an inspiring day representing our team at the Elevate Aevidum Annual Conference on January 29 at Spooky Nook! The energy in the room was incredible—students from 52 schools across 17 counties came together to learn, lead and support one another through Aevidum’s powerful message of “I’ve got your back.”
Our Director of Business Development, Staci D., hosted our vendor table and connected with students and educators from across the region, while Kristin R. and Jessica H. led two impactful breakout sessions during the event.
