Did you know today is National Siblings Day? At Hospice & Community Care and Hospice of Central PA, our care extends to the entire family—including young and adult siblings. We understand how important it is for brothers and sisters to share meaningful moments with their loved ones. We help families create lasting memories together so children, teens and adults can cherish the time they have.

Mary and Carlene of Patriotic Stitchers for Veterans are making a significant impact by donating beautiful handmade patriotic blankets for our Veteran Pinning ceremonies. Their commitment to providing these blankets monthly, along with additional donations as needed, showcases their dedication to honoring our Veterans.

Hospice & Community Care holds special pinning ceremonies to recognize and thank Veteran patients for their service. During these ceremonies, military pins, service certificates, patriotic blankets and flags are presented, creating a heartfelt moment of appreciation.

If you're interested in joining this noble cause, whether you sew, knit or crochet, you can help create these meaningful blankets. Reach out to Volunteer Services at rmartin@choiceshealth.org or call (717) 295-2900 to get involved.

Today, we recognize the incredible physicians who guide and support our care teams and the patients and families we serve.

In addition to the physicians highlighted in our video, we’re also grateful for our part-time physicians who provide hospice and palliative care during evenings and weekends.

On National Doctors’ Day, we thank our doctors for their dedication to compassionate, patient-centered care. Your expertise, empathy and leadership ensure every person we care for is treated with comfort, dignity and respect. We’re grateful for all that you do.
