I decided to go with Acorn Acres Wildlife Rehabilitation for our 2025 fall/winter community donation.
This spring, we had baby bunnies born in our backyard and one of them wasn’t able to hop around-something happened to it’s back legs. I contacted Acorn Acres and they gave me instructions with how to care for the bunny until they opened the next day. I gave Clover T. Buns a shelter for overnight, where they were safe and warm, and had fresh dandelion greens and clover. Unfortunately, Clover didn’t make it through the night. I am grateful for the guidance Acorn Acres gave me and their willingness to help. It’s pretty amazing to have such a facility in our area.
In honor of Clover T., I hope this donation is able to help future bunnies, squirrels, and opossums. I’m also happy to share that all of the older white hand towels that were gently used for my massage practice were able to be donated-and now they can be used for the healing of our tiny wildlife friends.
