We are happy to announce that Annie is the recipient of August’s Employee of the Month!

Annie works in our medical clinic and is aiming to achieve her COA certification this year! Annie mostly works with our pediatric ophthalmologist Oren Weisberg and has become an integral part of that team. However, Annie has proven herself able to work and help with any doctor she is assigned to.

Annie easily works with our D’Ambrosio team. Annie has a very upbeat friendly demeanor that helps her coworkers get through the day. Her “can do” attitude is appreciated by all! Even when Annie is busy, she will stop to listen and help if she can.

Annie shines when it comes to patient interactions. In our pediatric clinic she is known for calming nervous children and their parents. Her ability to connect with children and make them feel safe is a tremendous asset to her team and to the child’s parents.

Annie wants to make all our patients feel comfortable. Annie smiles and makes eye contact with those patients that are waiting so that they know they are not forgotten. Annie welcomes patients with a smile which is exactly what they need!

When Annie is assigned to a different doctor, she makes every effort to be an asset. Annie learns what needs to be done and rolls up her sleeves to help. It is very apparent that Annie thrives in a patient care setting. Annie not only puts our patients first she helps others accomplish that as well.

D’Ambrosio Eye Care is better because of Annie, and we hope that Annie is very happy and proud of her accomplishments. We are confident that Annie will achieve her COA this year!

We are happy to announce that Steven is the recipient of July’s Employee of the Month!

Steven has worked for D’Ambrosio Eye Care for over 10 years as one of our licensed opticians. Steven is set to retire on Sept 4th, and we wish him all the best and wanted to highlight all that Steven has meant to us and all the patients that he has helped.

Just this week we received a card from a patient thanking Steven for helping her. The patient had inadvertently put her own glasses in our Lion’s Club box with many other glasses and was panicked that her glasses would be lost to her. Steven found her glasses for her, cleaned them up and she came in to pick them up, very relieved.

Also, this week a patient had a contact lens class scheduled incorrectly at 4:20pm but Steven took the patient anyway even though some classes run more than an hour. The patient and staff were relieved that he helped them out.

As you can see just from this one week, Steven makes a difference in his willingness to help patients and staff. And we appreciate his contribution to helping patients see the best that D’Ambrosio Eye Care has to offer them. Steven has always cared about our patients, and we appreciate that about him.

As an experienced optician Steven easily takes our staff who are new or in our apprenticeship program under his wing. Steven likes to teach, knowing that his knowledge base is large from all the experience that he has had. He knows what he is passing on is helpful to them. Mentoring is something that comes natural to Steven.

In days gone by and prior to COVID D’Ambrosio Eye Care had many fund-raising functions and during one of these functions Steven dressed up as the Incredible Hulk and had pictures taken with children. This fundraiser was for Wreaths Across America. As a veteran himself Steven has always wanted to help and honor other veterans.

We will miss Steven and hope that he gets the opportunity to visit and let us know how his much deserved retirement is going. We thank Steven for his many years of service with D’Ambrosio Eye Care and for his military service as well. Steven has made a difference.

We are happy to announce that Ashlie is the recipient of June’s Employee of the Month!

Ashlie has worked for D’Ambrosio Eye Care for almost 10 years. Ashlie obtained her COA during that time and has now become a technician that all doctors welcome into their clinic. Ashlie has worked to become a very versatile technician by learning and covering in many different doctors clinics. And Ashlie is always willing to learn new things such as running our LASIK laser.

Ashlie always sets a good example for our new staff. Ashlie is always on time and ready to work and will help in any way she can. Over the years Ashlie has traveled to all our locations and rolled up her sleeves to help when we were short staffed or a doctor needed an extra hand.

Ashlie’s co-workers will often mention her to management because Ashlie is always pleasant and offers help when a clinic is behind. Ashlie has become someone that all staff can rely on. It is often said that Ashlie will always answer their questions and that she is someone that they will seek out because she helps them solve their concern.

Another thing that Ashlie does well is taking care of patients in a welcoming caring way. It has often been said that Ashlie is always pleasant even during chaotic days and that she can help diffuse a situation just by her kind nature and her listening skills.

Ashlie’s desire to help anyone is always foremost in her heart and it is quite apparent that her co-workers feel the same way.
