The flu is surging here and across the country. Three children have already died from the flu this season. Please have your child vaccinated! The vaccine may not prevent the flu but will cause milder symptoms and prevent most of the serious complications, hospitalizations and deaths.

How did we survive!! Thankful for the advances in children’s car seat safety! Remember, rear facing in a carseat in the the back seat until at least 2y old and until they no longer fit, then forward facing in a car seat until they outgrow the height and weight recommendations, then in a booster seat until at least age 8y and then in seatbelts in the back seat until 13 y of AND 100 lb!

The flu can make you and your children ill for 7-14 days and last season nearly 200 children died from complications from the flu. Most of those could have been prevented by the flu vaccine. Although the vaccine doesn’t always keep you from getting the flu, if you do, it’s usually a milder illness and significantly reduced the risk of hospitalization and complications. Please call for an appointment of your haven’t already done so.
