James Hudson has been a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Hamilton Arms Center for 14 years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and is set to graduate from Millersville University with a Master of Arts in December 2026.
In his spare time, between working at Hamilton Arms and completing his master’s degree, James has taken on the role of instructor for a Fine Arts Class at Hamilton Arms, which he will lead monthly. Jame's art class was standing room only as residents who know James and adore him gathered with anticipation. The pencils arrived already sharpened and the sketch books opened ready to receive the creative flow the residents had to give. Residents soon learned sketching demands patience and observation. James encouraged the residents to create their art from their soul. In the end, fine arts class is less about the art and more about connection to memory, to self and to others. It reveals creativity does not fade with age; it simply waits for an invitation. Thank you James for sharing your talent and inspiration with our residents!

Hamilton Arms residents and staff participated in “Shamrocks Across America” - A nationwide community outreach to send greetings and the "luck of the Irish" to fellow nursing homes. Hundreds of hand-crafted shamrocks created by residents and staff were mailed out to nursing homes in Wisconsin, Ohio, Arizona, Florida, Utah, and Michigan.
Residents, families and grandchildren enjoyed an afternoon of making Irish pistachio pudding topped with Irish cream! Residents woke up on St. Patrick’s Day to an Irish soda bread pastry bar accompanied with Irish cream coffee and festive Irish music. Hamilton Arms staff were treated to light Irish fare of meats, cheeses, and root-“Beer”. The Luck of the Irish struck some as they won pots of gold filled with delightful Irish chocolates
Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day is about more than wearing green—it’s about laughter, companionship, and feeling part of something special. Wonderful job, Hamilton Arms Center!

As lanterns gently swayed in the recreation room, the delightful aroma of freshly steamed egg rolls filled the air (Special thanks to Pacific Blue and the Wang family for providing the egg rolls and fortune cookies). Residents of Hamilton Arms came together to celebrate the "Year of the Horse.” The day blossomed into a lively cultural festival, reminding everyone that joy and tradition have no age limits. Attendees enjoyed tales of the Nian, the mythical beast, explored the significance of the Year of the Horse, and admired the ancient art of Chinese painting, all while savoring fresh egg rolls. The afternoon concluded with readings of their lucky fortune cookies, sharing heartfelt wishes for health, happiness, and togetherness in the New Year ahead!
