October 29th is World Stroke Day. It's important for everyone to be aware of stroke symptoms and emphasize the critical importance of calling 911 immediately when these symptoms are recognized.

Strokes can happen to anyone, at any age. Globally about one in four adults over the age of 25 will have a stroke in their lifetime. Most adults in the U.S. don’t know the F.A.S.T. warning signs of a stroke.

Stroke is largely treatable if you call 911 as soon as you recognize the symptoms. Grant Regional Health Center is proud to provide quick and efficient care when stroke is in question from teamwork and collaboration to improve response time, to offering advanced technology such as EEG and UW-Telestroke services.
