Thank you so much Lancaster Rotary Club!!!

🐻💙 Lancaster Rotary is proud to support Palmetto Citizens Against Sexual Assault (PCASA) with a donation of stuffed animals, purchased through our Fishnet Funds.

PCASA is a vital organization in our community that provides advocacy, counseling, and support services to survivors of sexual assault and their families. These stuffed animals are given to children who go to PCASA for many different reasons—offering them comfort and a small sense of security during a very difficult time.

At Rotary, we believe in service above self, and we are grateful for the opportunity to help PCASA continue their mission of compassion and care in Lancaster County.

We are excited to announce our upcoming Hoops for Hope event on August 9, 2025.

This marks our third annual event, and we are committed to making it even bigger and better this year. Your support is greatly appreciated, and we hope you will join us for a day of fun!

Participation Details:
The event will take place at Gay Basketball Street Courts. We need teams to play in the tournament. To register your team for the Elementary, Middle, and High School games, please email: etindal@lancastercitysc.com. There is no charge to register your team.

There are just 20 slots open for the Dunking Contest, Free Throw Contest, and Three-Point Shootout. Entry into any of the contests is free; however, participation is limited to 20 individuals. Everyone aged 17 and under is encouraged to join. Winners will be rewarded with both a trophy and a Visa gift card. To register, email etindal@lancastercitysc.com to add your name to the list.

Spectators are invited to attend all games and contests at no cost. During lunchtime, complimentary hot dogs from David’s Dawgs will be served, accompanied by chips and a drink. Attendees can also enjoy free icees and various giveaways throughout the event, including a t-shirt. There will be community resource booths will be available, providing valuable information.

The main event will start at 2 PM, featuring a match between officers and the High School Students team. (We acknowledge that they may have the upper hand, but it promises to be an exciting game!) Join us to see who claims bragging rights this year. Right now, last year’s trophy is sitting in our conference room.

We extend our gratitude to Nutramax Laboratories, Walmart, Lancaster Promise Neighborhood, David’s Dawg’s, City of Lancaster, Community Powerhouse, See Lancaster, and many others for their generous support in making this event possible.

Denim Day

Today, April 29, is National Denim Day! Dating back 21 years ago in Italy as a show of solidarity for a r**e survivor blamed (by the Italian Supreme Court) for wearing tight jeans.

We know that Sexual Violence is 100% preventable and clothing has nothing to do with preventing it.
