Welcome Home Little Blue! Our tractor spent the winter at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, where every inch of it was inspected, repaired and maintenance performed. A big shout out to the students, their instructor and Homefields treasurer Andy Hirschmann for this crucial step in launching the CSA season.

This week on the farm: Occupational Development Center completed step three of making seed ball gifts 🎁 Our farm technician optimized the overhead sprinklers in the greenhouse💧Seed potatoes were prepped to move into the fields 🍅 We laid plastic mulch for transplanting cabbage and lettuce 🥬

Food Truck Freddy is at it again! Looks like he is helping the Library System of Lancaster County celebrate National Library Week.

He's been spotted tagging along with the Bookmobile Lancaster , making stops all around the county.

One thing we know for sure is that the Bookmobile will be back at the 8th Annual ODC Food Truck Fest at Stauffer Park on June 6th. Freddy just wants to make sure they get there in time!

Please keep us updated if you spot Freddy while you're out and about.

This is a beautiful thing. We are now officially the adopters of the 2 blocks of Martha Avenue by our building in Manheim Township.

This means that we will be taking CPS crews out there a few times a year to pick up trash and keep our street neat and clean.

Just another way the ODC is working to make our community a better place!

Join us this afternoon from 2-7 p.m. at the Abilities Fair at the Farm & Home Center on Arcadia Road off the Manheim Pike. We will have a table there with information and some fun stuff to give away.

This is a great chance to learn about the ODC and the people we serve, plus there will be a lot more going on throughout the day.

One more anniversary this week. Today marks 2 years that Alyssa has been working here as a supervisor at the ODC.

It's always good to catch up with old friends.

Program specialist Courtney was out and about last night doing some shopping when she bumped into ODC alum Emerson.

Emerson left the ODC last year to take a job as a dishwasher at an area retirement community. He says the job is going well, and he sure looks happy!

The beauty of what we do is that our Participants gain a greater sense of independence. Emerson was out doing his own shopping and is enjoying his new life and job.
