𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒑𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒐𝒃𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒑 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝑷𝑨:
- Required Form: Download Form MV-145: Obtain the "Application for Persons with Disability or Hearing Impaired Registration Plate or a Persons with Disability Motorcycle Plate" (Form MV-145) from the PennDOT website.
- Medical Certification: Have your doctor, podiatrist, chiropractor, or optometrist complete the medical certification portion of the form, certifying your limited mobility, blindness, or other qualifying condition.
- Mail the completed form and medical certification to:

Cost: There is no fee for a Persons with Disability Parking Placard.

Eligibility: Must be blind, have a cardiac condition, use portable oxygen, have lung disease, or have a severe orthopedic, neurological, or arthritic condition that limits walking.

Temporary placards are valid for up to 6 months. Permanent placards are valid for 5 years.

Processing Time: Generally, it takes about two weeks to receive your placard in the mail.
