Autism acceptance is more than awareness — it’s action.

Every small act of understanding helps create a world where neurodivergent individuals are seen, respected, and supported. 🌍✨

Here are 5 simple ways you can show up this November (and every day):
1️⃣ Learn about autism and different lived experiences.
2️⃣ Volunteer with organizations making real impact.
3️⃣ Advocate for inclusive workplaces and communities.
4️⃣ Use respectful language — words shape worlds.
5️⃣ Be patient, supportive, and kind to families and individuals. 💬💞

Each step you take helps build a more inclusive world — one filled with empathy, not assumptions.

📲 Follow to learn, share, and be an ally in action.
Together, let’s turn awareness into acceptance.

📢 Beginning Wednesday, October 1 — Maryland is officially implementing Eric’s ID Law.

This law allows individuals with hidden disabilities to add a butterfly symbol 🦋 to their driver’s license or ID card for free.

💡 The butterfly serves as a discreet, respectful way to let first responders, law enforcement, and others know that a person may have a non-visible disability — helping ensure safety, understanding, and proper support.

✨ 3 easy ways to add the butterfly symbol:
1️⃣ Through your myMVA account
2️⃣ At any MVA kiosk
3️⃣ At any MVA branch

Let’s spread the word and honor the legacy of Eric, whose story inspired this important step toward inclusion and awareness.

🌸 She wasn’t shy. She was autistic.
For years, countless women and girls have been overlooked, misdiagnosed, or dismissed — not because their experiences don’t fit the spectrum, but because the spectrum has too often been seen through a male lens.

Many autistic women learn to mask early: copying social cues, hiding sensory struggles, and overcompensating until burnout becomes their “normal.”

But their stories matter. Their voices matter. Their diagnosis matters. 💬

✨ It’s time to unmask the truth — and make sure every woman and girl is seen, heard, and understood.

📲 Join Autism Ally in spreading awareness and advocating for better recognition, support, and inclusion for neurodivergent women.

💬 Every child wants connection — but for many autistic individuals, the path looks a little different.

From role-playing at home 🏡 to celebrating parallel play on the playground 🎠, social skills aren’t about forcing “normal.” They’re about creating safe, respectful ways to connect.

✨ This carousel breaks down simple, practical strategies that parents and caregivers can use to nurture confidence — without taking away authenticity.

👉🏽 Swipe through, try them out, and remember: connection happens when we meet each person where they are.
