🚨🚨 A Bittersweet Farewell and a Beautiful Hello from Abila Tazanu, Founder of the One World Center for Autism, Inc.🚨🚨
🌎🧩A Bittersweet Farewell and a Beautiful Hello!🧩🌎
The year 2021 has been a year of great transformation for so many of us. The pandemic has brought adversity, but it has also opened doors for greater self-reflection and the pursuit of greater well-being. As I close out 2021, I am grateful for the many opportunities, that I have been blessed with this year to move closer to honoring my life’s purpose: Helping those living with autism and related developmental differences realize greater well-being by securing opportunities that build hope, health, and happiness!
As I embrace a new year with all its awe-inspiring potential, I will be transitioning away from the One World Center for Autism to fulfill my life’s calling in a more focused and wholistic manner in our community at-large. I will continue to serve my patients and their families, while advocating for our needs in our community. This change will also provide the opportunity I need to support my own family and loved ones, whose needs have changed as we are now transitioning to adulthood.
I am incredibly grateful for being the vessel through which One World Center was formed. It has been a life-changing experience and privilege to serve over the past 14 years of our existence. I have been deeply changed by the amazing children, youth, and families with whom beautiful bonds have been forged. You have and continue to serve as my teachers and guides as we navigate life together.
One World Center and I know the importance of managing change in the lives of those living with autism. As a result, we are committed to a seamless transition of healthcare for all my patients that is HIPAA compliant and that ensures continuity of child and family focused healthcare services.
As of February 7th, 2022 I will begin healthcare service provision at Heritage Care where I will continue to provide Autism Diagnostic and Medical Consultations with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals who can assess and support the communication, sensory, gross, and fine motor needs of those who seek my continued care. I will also continue to partner in community advocacy and consulting.
As we forge a path forward to greater health, hope, and happiness in 2022 and beyond, know that I remain committed to this journey for all of us. I will continue to be driven by the vision of a world where my children, yours, and all who live with autism and different abilities are embraced, celebrated, and achieve their greatest potential. Enjoy the journey!
With peace and joy,
Abila
