🥞✨ Brunch just got a whole lot tastier at Ashleigh at Lansdowne! ✨🥞

We recently hosted our latest session of "The Art of Brunch," focusing on the beautiful concept of Elevated Simplicity. We were thrilled to have Chef Michael, the head of our Taste of RUI Culinary Team, take the stage! He shared his professional tips and tricks, guiding our residents through the delicate, delicious world of crepe making! 🧑‍🍳👩‍🍳

From perfecting the batter to mastering the art of the flip, our residents dove right into the kitchen fun. There’s something so satisfying about creating a masterpiece from scratch, but let’s be honest—the best part of the event was definitely the taste-testing! 😋🍓🍫

🐔 The Golden Girls are Growing! 🐣
Things are getting a little "egg-stra" lively here at the Ashleigh at Lansdowne! Our feathered friends, the Golden Girls, are growing up so fast and showing off some serious personality.

From sassy strutting to curious chirping, there’s never a dull moment with these ladies around! 💛

Resident Favorites: Our friends in Inspiritás have been having the best time watching their daily antics.

Gentle Moments: There’s nothing quite like the calm of holding a baby chick. Our residents have been so gentle, and the girls seem to love the extra cuddles! 🤗

🌸 Peak Bloom with the Ashleigh Crew!
The Ashleigh at Lansdowne team took a little excursion into DC to soak up the cherry blossoms! We spent a gorgeous afternoon picnicking under the flowering trees and enjoying the best of spring at the Tidal Basin. 🧺✨

From the stunning views to the great conversation, it was the perfect day to get out and celebrate the season together.

Today was such a special day!✈️

We took a few of our Veterans on an exciting excursion to the National Air and Space Museum, Smithsonian Institution's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, where history truly came to life. Even better—we met up with our sister community, The Wellington at Lake Manassas, for a fun and meaningful get-together! 😊

From incredible aircraft to unforgettable stories, the highlight was seeing the Grumman A-6 Intruder—one of the very planes our own Bud flew during his time in the Navy. What an amazing full-circle moment! 💙

Days like these remind us how important it is to honor, connect, and celebrate the experiences of those who served.

We celebrated the season with a lovely brunch filled with magnificent dishes prepared by our amazing Taste of RUI culinary team 👩‍🍳✨ The flavors were just as vibrant as the day itself!

It was extra special to have so many families join us—your presence made the celebration truly festive and full of joy 💐🥂

Look out, world—there’s a new "Golden" squad in town! 👑
We are so excited to introduce the four newest residents at Ashleigh at Lansdowne: meet Dorothy, Sophia, Rose, and Blanche! 🐥✨
These lovely ladies have officially moved into their new home in the Inspiritás-Memory Care Neighborhood. We can’t wait to watch them grow, look after them, and see their big personalities shine. Stay tuned for plenty of updates on their adventures!

96 years young and still the life of the party! 🏃‍♀️✨

Last Sunday, we had a blast celebrating a very special birthday for the incredible Jean, who officially turned 96! 🎂🥳

If you’re looking for Jean, you can usually find her breaking a sweat in our exercise classes or staying sharp in our enrichment programs here at Ashleigh at Lansdowne. She’s proof that staying active is the secret to a long, happy life! 💪❤️

It was a full house for the big day! Jean was joined by her daughter and granddaughter, along with so many of our residents and staff, to toast to this amazing milestone. The room was filled with so much love and laughter! 🥂🎈

Luck was definitely in the air (and on our plates!) yesterday at The Ashleigh! 🍀✨

We celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in true style with a day full of music, laughter, and incredible food. Here’s a look at our festive itinerary:

Sweet Start: We kicked things off with indulgent Baileys Cream Pies handcrafted by Chef Michael. 🥧☕

Irish Melodies: We tapped our toes to the beautiful sounds of Irish tunes performed live by the talented Janet Green. 🎶🎻

The Main Event: Our Taste of RUI Team served up a traditional and lovely Irish dinner that warmed the soul. 🍽️☘️

The Grand Finale: Chef Michael wowed us again with a show-stopping Brownie Mint Trifle for dessert! 🍫🌿

It was a fantastic day spent with even better company. We hope everyone had a safe and lucky St. Patty's Day! 🌈💰

We recently treated the talented Lorraine Owen to a lovely dinner and a creative evening at The Painted Tiger Art Studio. 🍽️🖌️

Lorraine teamed up with the amazing artist Henry to level up her skills, focusing on the perfect techniques for painting autumn leaves and trees. 🌳🍃

We are so proud to support Lorraine’s artistic journey! High-fives to Henry for the expert coaching! 🙌🐅

We had a "shell" of a time today at our latest Taste of RUI event! Our Inspiritás-Memory Care residents dove headfirst into the world of coastal cuisine as we explored all things Fresh, Light, and Local. 🌊

The star of the show? Blue Crab Ceviche! 🥗✨

Our amazing team, Chef Michael and Executive Director Angela, teamed up to give a hands-on masterclass. From the fine art of shucking crabs to the perfect citrus zest, our residents saw exactly what goes into making this refreshing summer staple. 👨‍🍳👩‍💼

It wasn't just a cooking demo—it was a sensory experience full of bright flavors, great conversation, and maybe a little bit of competitive shucking! 😉
