Black families are nourished by community. 💙🤱🏾

This month, we’re honored to highlight Sharde’ Burton, MPH. Her work shows how care, culture, and trust come together to support Black families - neighbors, elders, doulas, peer lactation counselors, and family networks all forming the village that families rely on. 🏡✨

Sharde’ shares:
“In a system where Black families face disproportionate health outcomes and too often feel unheard, there is a strong need for Black birthworkers that reflect the families they serve. I do this work for my community, because every Black family deserves to birth and feed their babies in an environment where they feel safe, respected, and deeply supported.”
