⚾️ We hit a home run yesterday at The Courtyard at Delta!

To celebrate the start of the Detroit Tigers season, we had the pleasure of welcoming guest speaker Todd Walton, who brought the history of the Tigers to life for our residents. From fascinating stories to tables filled with incredible memorabilia, it was truly a one-of-a-kind experience!

Our residents loved learning more about their favorite team and reminiscing about seasons past—there’s nothing like a little Tigers spirit to bring everyone together. 🧡🐅

There’s something truly special about honoring a lifetime of passion—and getting to experience it firsthand ❤️

This week, one of our incredible residents in memory care shared his talent with us by making his famous Black Cherry Torte Cake for our community 🍒✨ The aroma, the smiles, and the stories that filled the room reminded us just how powerful food—and purpose—can be.

Before joining our community, he spent decades shaping the future of culinary arts. He was a dedicated culinary educator at Lansing Community College from 1969 to 2004, where he also led apprenticeship training programs and mentored countless students who went on to successful careers.

He later continued his passion at the Kellogg Center Food Lab at Michigan State University's School of Hospitality Business as a lab assistant from 2005 to 2008.

Today, his legacy lives on—not just in the students he inspired, but in moments like these that bring joy, connection, and a sense of purpose to our community.

We are so honored to be part of his story 💙

Our residents got creative today during floral arranging in activities! 🌷💐

From bright blooms to beautiful bouquets, it was so fun to see everyone’s unique style come to life. There’s something special about working with flowers…it brings smiles, sparks creativity, and brightens the whole room!

☘️ St. Patrick’s Day came a little early at The Courtyard at Delta! ☘️

Today we kicked off the celebration with live entertainment, festive bites, and plenty of laughs! Residents enjoyed corn beef hash roll-ups, Irish nachos, a special “leprechaun” drink, and other tasty hors d’oeuvres while music filled the room.

The celebration isn’t over yet! Join us on St. Patrick’s Day from 3–4 PM as we keep the Irish spirit going with green beer, light snacks, and more live entertainment.

Our residents and Activities Aide, Jazmon, have been hard at work on a very special project- bringing a beautiful wooden dollhouse to life with paint, creativity, and a lot of love. 🎨🏡

Today we were honored to donate it to Origami Rehabilitation for their pediatric unit. Knowing it will bring joy and imagination to children working hard to heal makes this project even more meaningful.

We’re so proud of our residents and grateful for all that Origami does for families in our community. 💛

🎬⭐️⭐️Our memory care residents had a great time today watching Garfield down in our beautiful theater! They loved the freshly popped popcorn and cold drinks ⭐️⭐️🎬
