Someone recently commented on our YT channel saying they have multiple injuries: PTTD, a hip labral tear, thoracic outlet syndrome, and a wrist ligament tear—and they’re feeling hopeless. Each injury seems to limit how they can treat the others, and they no longer feel like their go-to hypermobility exercises are safe.
If you're in a similar place, here's what we’d consider:
✅ Get more than one opinion, especially when surgery is being discussed
✅ Focus on building strength from the ground up—think pelvis and low back first
✅ Work with providers who understand hypermobility (especially PTs or physiatrists)
✅ Use external supports to help you move with less pain
✅ Most importantly, don’t lose hope
It’s tough when it feels like your body is working against you. But you can make progress. It might just take a different toolkit than what you’ve used before.
