Join us on April 11, 2026 as we celebrate Mental Health Heroes like Dr. Gregory Mahr.

NAMI Michigan is proud to recognize Dr. Mahr for his 40 years of oustanding work at Wayne State University's School of Medicine, as well as Michigan State's College of Human Medicine. He has mentored generations of physicians and mental health professionals serving communities statewide.

Dr Mahr is known for his commitment to his patients, intellectual generosity, mentorship, and compassion. He has helped foster a culture of attentive care across the state.

He has left a lasting imprint on the practice of mental health care across Michigan and beyond. We are incredibly grateful for his work.

The Oakland Community Health Network announced it will directly manage adult crisis care services starting in January, ending a decades-long partnership with the nonprofit Common Ground that has provided these services since 2012.
