Harmony Hall will be participating in Clubhouse International - ICCD's Clubhouse Movement Celebration Week! We are dotting the Is and crossing the Ts on our member stories we'll share that show the power of our connections and of the Clubhouse model! In telling our stories of support, we are able to better inform everyone of the community-based therapies and their real impact on those that participate. Included in the Clubhouse model is work-ordered day that encourages skill-building, transitional employment programs to integrate back into the workforce, connections we make while in a supportive environment, and the real impact we have in the communities around us. Clubhouse is a true movement that can ensure real results for those with mental illness!

Wednesday was a fun in-house social! We had a Family Feud game night with plenty of fun and good friends. We may not be related, but the clubhouse feels like a second family!

We do fundraising year round in order to have the most fun parties that we can. Our big parties here at Harmony Hall are our Halloween Party and our Christmas Party!

Today we went to our Auspice Agency (Lapeer CMH) and set up a hot chocolate bar! CMH staff have always been supportive of Harmony Hall and we hope to bring things that make the day a little more fun to CMH.

At our parties the Fundraising enables us to cater food, hire performers, decorate, and have the opportunity to choose elements that make the parties more fun!

Thank you to everyone that contributes all year to our fundraisers. You are a huge part of what helps our big events to be so special!

We made it over to The Refuge Restoration Center of Lapeer today to give them the donation from our Thanksgiving Fundraiser! This is a cause we believe in and we’re proud to contribute in our community in every way we can! Special thanks to The Refuge for the incredible work they do every day!

On January 28th, for the coming Housing Program here at Harmony Hall we held a fundraiser selling chili to our Lapeer County partners. Our kitchen's homemade recipe sold more than 18 bowls and provided lunch for those attending the Clubhouse. We are very thankful to those who participated! We raised $141.00 for the housing funds!

Axecadia was a hit. Almost everyone said it was the best social we have had in a long time. Shout out to the owners for opening early for us and being so accommodating, kind, and fun to talk to. We will be back as soon as we can! 😄

Around the World of Clubhouse: This Month We're in Michigan, USA

Membership Without Barriers. Recovery Without Limits.

We are excited to share highlights from recent Clubhouse work across Michigan, showing the positive impact of staying true to Clubhouse International Standards and the benefits of the Clubhouse Innovative Prevention (CIP).

- More members are participating regardless of insurance or financial challenges
- Clubhouses are strengthening the Clubhouse Model while expanding access
- Communities are seeing greater connection and pathways to work and education

Pictured here is Rihanna at The Gathering Place Clubhouse. With support from CIP funds, she completed her ServSafe training and is now actively working in the Culinary Unit. This quarter, hundreds of members across Michigan benefited from open, welcoming Clubhouses focused on people and recovery.

We had a great time at the Clubhouse Christmas Party at the end of the year! We ate at King Buffet (paid for by Clubhouse Fundraising). Then, back at the Clubhouse we played a game where we passed random gift cards around at the direction of our storyteller, John D.

We had such a fun time and are already looking forward to next year!
