What’s up Wednesday?

Well, first of all, I’m not yet in the office 🤨

I am planning to be up and running the week of December 15!

In the meantime, I want to make sure that you don’t run out of your medication
I get especially frustrated when my patients run out of their birth control or their hormone replacement therapy!
These are essential medications, and I want to make sure that you are feeling well and being taken care of during my unplanned absence.

Ochsner has set up a special nurse line for my patients in need of care

Nurse Melissa is ready to take your calls, and she is very kind and knowledgeable in the field of OBGYN
Melissa will make sure that you have refills on your essential medications to cover you until you are able to get in for an appointment with me.

Although my schedule has not yet been opened, she can add you to a waiting list and will contact you as soon as my schedule is open

She is also able to connect you with a doc in my new call group at Ochsner. This is incredibly important for pregnant moms and women in need of an urgent visit.

Do NOT delay your care.

Update for my patients!

As many of you already know, I have parted ways with LCMC.
I am excited to announce that I am partnering with Ochsner to continue serving my wonderful patients in the River Parishes.
Ochsner is very excited to invest in our awesome community!
Please know that I will be back in La Place shortly.
It has been my honor and great joy to partner with all of you in your healthcare journey over the past 16 years, and I have no intention of giving up my calling anytime soon.
Please contact Ochsner scheduling when you are due for your next visit. They are working on opening up my schedule in La Place as soon as possible.

My wonderful patients. Do not choose fear over science. The White House released a very scary and unfounded conspiracy theory suggesting a link between Tylenol use in pregnancy and autism. If it was THAT SIMPLE — don’t you think the thousands of scientists, therapists, teachers and parents of autistic children would have figured that out by now?
There is NO scientific evidence linking Tylenol use in pregnancy and autism in children.
Take a deep breath and read the literature for yourself!

ACOG reaffirms the safety and benefits of acetaminophen use during pregnancy.
More than two decades of research have found no causal link between acetaminophen use during pregnancy and autism, ADHD, or intellectual disability in children.
