“In 2015 I graduated Concordia College where I majored in Biology and played point guard. Shortly there after, I started my career at Prime Performance & Development where I learned to build relationships, better my craft, and grow into the man I am today.

These relationships were instrumental in my decision to attend Columbia University and pursue a Masters in Physiology. I am graduating this summer, and I did it with the support of Prime, performing 120 sessions a month while attending graduate school full time. This allowed me to earn six figures while attending an Ivy League college.

PRIME Performance & Development is looking for established personal trainers in the Larchmont, Mamaroneck, Scarsdale area. We are offering such professionals an ultra competitive 70/30 split. You are able to create your own schedule working 25 hours a week while making over $100,000 annually. Perhaps your book of business consists of 150 sessions a month, working for us you would take home over $155,000 while performing them.

PRIME offers premium training sessions at beyond equinox caliber in a state of the art 5,000sq ft facility. The studio is equipped with multiple power racks, multiple cable units, multiple dumbbell sets, a full set of kettlebells, 30 yards of astroturf and much more. Here’s a progression that’s add the lateral component. Super important for hip health and back health. Too often we only work in the Sagittal world (forward & backwards, flexion & extension). The will help strengthen pelvic stabilizers and posture to support proper movement in a different plane.

Rep range 10 steps to the side and back. Then to add some flavor alternate steps (one step to the side and then back). You should really feel those deep hip muscles and a superficial one right on the side. If you feel a pinch in the front of the hips, you’re too tight and time to stretch!!!

Now if it doesn’t feel “right,” 3 things; you’re not doing it correctly, the bands are too strong (go down in resistance), or you’re not focusing and connecting with your body. Own every movement you do. Take your time and remember, listen to the cues!!! THEY WILL GUIDE YOU!

To improve hip health and back health, this exercise and its progressions/regressions are magic! Activation of the hip stabilizers, deep hip rotators, and spine stabilizers is clutch for maintaining posture and forcing the right muscles to do their Job!

Athletes, 20 reps and then 10 on each side (activation). If you are dealing with pain; 10 reps, and then 6 on each side for 3 rounds (work). If you don’t feel it deep in the hips and lower abdominal wall (Under belly button), 2 things;

you’re not doing right, or you don’t have the neurological awareness yet. If you feel a little low back, pull in 2 inches below belly button. Listen to the cues, THEY ARE SUPER IMPORTANT!
