🌅 More than 35 hours in labor 🌃
Through the pain and the unknown, through hills of decisions and fields of waiting this mama was able to give birth to her first born daughter.
Sometimes trusting your instincts isn’t always crystal clear at times it may look like hesitations and letting time pass.
Mama you knew what you wanted from the start, the look on your husband’s face showed how much in awe he is of you and how you navigated through every change. I’ll never forget how he kept looking at you then back at baby and then back at you and tearing up. And the shriek of excitement your own mama yelled as baby made her entrance to this world.

🌃🌙At Dawn, Mom received a surprise ‘knock’ from her little one, who couldn’t wait until induction day to meet the world.
Through the power of relaxation, ritual, and rhythm, she navigated the journey with incredible grace and strength.
Before lunchtime, baby A had arrived.🤱🏼
Even from hundreds of miles away, Dad was able to be part of this special moment, his voice a comforting presence for his little one. I’m truly honored to have been there to support Mom, to witness her incredible strength, and to share in this joy.❤️

1. Understand Your Options and Rights
-Educate Yourself: Take childbirth education classes, read books, and research online about labor, interventions, and your rights as a patient.

2. Build Your Advocacy Team
-Hire a Doula: Doulas are trained professionals who provide continuous physical, emotional, and informational support during labor. They can help you understand your options, communicate with your medical team, and advocate for your preferences.

3. Prepare to Communicate Effectively
-Ask Questions: Don't hesitate to ask your medical team questions about any procedures or recommendations they make. It's your right to understand what is happening and why.

4. Prepare for the Unexpected
-Be Flexible: Labor is unpredictable, and things may not go exactly as planned. Be open to adjusting your birth plan if needed and discuss any changes with your medical team.
