SCAN Youth Recovery Community Services Program

One of the biggest components of the YRCS program is for our youth to participate in community service projects throughout the year. We have continued our annual St. Patrick's Day tradition of assembling goody bags to distribute to local hospitals and a local shelter. Our goal is to provide a fun and happy surprise for the children.
This year we were able to distribute a total of 43 goody bags, which were distributed to Laredo Medical Center, Doctor's Hospital and SCAN's Emergency Shelter. A big thank you to all who took part in this activity.

A big thank‑you to our Youth Recovery Community Services (YRCS) Program for preparing St. Patrick’s Day goody bags for our young patients! 💚

The YRCS Program supports teens and young adults by helping them build positive connections, develop life skills and give back to their community. This service project—assembling and distributing festive goody bags—encourages youth to reflect on their luck, their blessings and the importance of spreading kindness.

Thank you, YRCS, for giving back and brightening the day for our patients!

The YRC Program continued the annual tradition of their St. Patrick's Day community service project. Thank you to the staff and our youth for giving back to our community.

We're sending a special shout-out to the wonderful participants and staff from the SCAN Youth Recovery Community program for spreading some luck of the Irish ☘️ in celebration of St. Patrick's Day.

Our Pediatrics and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit enjoyed welcoming our guests who brought goodie bags for our young and tiny patients. Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
