🎅 Doctors Hospital kicked off the holiday season Thursday afternoon with its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. 🌲
The Mary Help of Christian School Choir performed joyful Christmas carols, adding to the festive atmosphere. Guests enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies while celebrating together.
Thank you to the school administrators, parents, grandparents and guardians for supporting the choir and helping give back to the community.

🎄 Holiday Cheer at Doctors Hospital 🎄 It’s beginning to look a lot like the holiday season at Doctors Hospital, with holiday décor brightening every corner. Special thanks go to Veronica “Ronnie” Cantu, RN, risk management coordinator, for sharing her magnificent Christmas collection.
Cantu, along with other team members, helps decorate the hospital each year to spread holiday cheer and prepare for the annual tree lighting ceremony. Patients, guests, medical staff and employees alike enjoy the festive spirit throughout the hospital.

Our Thanksgiving food drive was a success! 🎉
Doctors Hospital, in partnership with the Laredo Fire Department, collected more than 2,000 food items (about 3,000 pounds) to help feed local families in need.

It was an honor and a pleasure to participate in the “Giving Thanks to Those Who Served” Veterans Day Luncheon and Health Fair.
Perla Chavez, BSN, RN, clinical manager of ER South and ER Saunders, and Rosa Rodriguez, RN, clinical manager of ER Wright Ranch, both services of Doctors Hospital of Laredo, had the opportunity to visit with veterans and provide information on ER services available at all three Doctors Hospital freestanding ERs.
Thank you to the Honorable Jesse Gonzalez, Webb County commissioner for Precinct 1, and his team for organizing and hosting a special event for our local veterans. We appreciate all that you do for our county.

The Heart and Vascular Center at Doctors Hospital provides expert care for patients experiencing heart attack, heart disease, and other cardiac conditions. The hospital recently invested $2.7 million to expand and remodel its advanced cardiac surgical suite, which is dedicated exclusively to open-heart procedures. In 2016, surgeons performed the 100th open heart surgery at Doctors Hospital.
