DENNIS C. GREEN

Mr. Dennis C. Green passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his side on Wednesday, March 18th, 2026, at the age of 69 in Laredo, Texas. He was born in Waco, Texas and grew up in Sioux Falls, SD where he attended Sioux Falls College and was an avid football player. Mr. Green lived a life defined by generosity, warmth and unwavering devotion to those he loved, working hard while at the same time making people laugh and feel good.

With a vision for his future and the courage to pursue it, he founded his own Drafting company, building something meaningful through years of dedication and hard work. His entrepreneurial spirit was matched only by his selflessness, as he constantly put the needs of others before his own.

He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Natalie (Kellen) Anderson, brothers Tim and Mike Green, sisters Kathy (Green) Penney and Patty (Green) Martin. Mr. Green is survived by his loving wife Dolores Green, son Nathaniel E. Green of Laredo TX, sister Peggy (Green) Warwick of Sioux Falls SD, daughter Megan (Green) and Joe Wood, grandchildren Trystyn, Liam, Brayden and Collin Wood of TN, daughter Katy Green of Olympia, WA, grandchildren Cialyn Green of Sacramento, CA, Cael Green, Cedric Green, and Caoimhe Green of Olympia, WA, son Kellen Green of Clarksville TN, son Samuel Green and granddaughter, Ryleigh Green of Hurley, MO.

Mr. Green enjoyed spending time with his family watching a good movie or cooking, he would also enjoy spending time with his dog Bella and was a lover of bluegrass and country music, he appreciated the history, storytelling and acoustic virtuosity found in these genres and never went a minute without music.
While his absence leaves a profound void in the lives of those he touched, there is great solace in the belief that he has found eternal rest and is cradled in the arms of the Almighty.

A Mass for the repose of his soul will be celebrated on March 30th in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.

“So, live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide” ~ Chief Tecumseh

MARIA DE LA LUZ CABRERA

Maria de la Luz Cabrera,74, entered eternal rest on Monday, March 2, 2026. She was born on June 20, 1951, in Laredo, Texas, where she was born, raised, and remained a proud lifelong resident.

She was a proud graduate of Raymond & Tirza Martin High School, Class of 1970. Maria was a woman of strength and resilience. She was also a breast cancer survivor, facing that battle with courage and determination.

Maria was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Above all, the role she cherished most was being a grandmother. Her greatest pride and joy were her granddaughters, U. S. Navy 3rd Class Petty Officer, Genesis Alazay Pechè, and Kylie Arlene Lopez, who were the light of her life. She was immensely proud of the young women they have become and took great joy watching them pursue their dreams and work hard to reach their goals. Their accomplishments brought her great happiness and were a source of pride in her life.

Maria loved watching scary movies, enjoyed wrestling, and found comfort and joy in music. She was the person everyone depended on — selfless, protective, and always willing to put the needs of others before her own.

As a woman of faith, Maria believed in God’s promises and the hope of eternal life. We take comfort in knowing she is now reunited with her loved ones and resting in the presence of our Lord. “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:23).

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jose Cabrera and Tomasa Molina Cabrera, and her sisters, Guadalupe Muniz, Alicia Gomez, and Nicolasa Molina.

Ms. Cabrera is survived by her devoted daughter, Priscilla Lopez; her siblings, Rita Cabrera and Xavier Cabrera (Rosie); 11 nephews and nieces; 24 great-nieces and nephews; and 10 great-great-nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Aguero Funeral Home and Crematorium, 4402 E. Saunders St., Laredo, TX 78041. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m.
