Discomfort isn’t your opponent during your rehab - it’s your teacher.

Rehab asks your body to do things that it hasn’t done in a while, things that may feel threatening, or things that may not feel “good” at first.

This can feel like tightness, stiffness, or even a little “off.”

These sensations DON’T mean danger, and they DO mean adaptation.

To get better, we need to drive adaptation.

Face discomfort with curiosity, not fear. 🫵🏼

We’re going to MIAMI !!! 🕶️🏋🏼‍♀️🏝️☀️🩷💙🌊

SO excited to compete alongside these girls, and be surrounded by so many incredible athletes on the competition floor!

What an absolute DREAM to qualify 2 years in a row 🥹

If you’ve been following me for a while, you may or may not remember the skeleton plan I wrote out for myself and shared to be able to hit these qualifiers hard and execute. Turns out, it worked 🙂‍↕️

Miami, see you soon!!! 🫶🏼

When you’re injured, setbacks feel like enormous obstacles… but most of the time, they’re just instructions.

They point out what needs attention, what needs strengthening, and what needs patience.

Reframe the setback as part of the path - not a detour.

See it as feedback, not failure.

Adjust the plan instead of abandoning it - progress included pauses, pivots and resets. It’s normal to encounter setbacks, and what matters most is what you do next.

When working through an injury, progress isn’t always linear, but your choices still matter.

You can’t control the flare-up or “bad days,” but you can control how you respond to them.

Here’s what you CAN control during injury recovery:
🙂‍↕️ your commitment to the rehab plan
💤 your sleep, nutrition and stress
🏋🏼‍♀️ your training modifications
🧠 your mindset when things feel slow

You don’t control the timeline, but you do control the inputs. The inputs create the outcome.

Last weekend, I coached two incredible athletes at the Age Group CrossFit Games for the first time in my professional career.

Going into an event like this, I was unsure what to expect, but I knew that managing and supporting two different athletes, who for the most part competed back to back, would pose some challenges for a rookie coach like myself.

Throughout the whole weekend, I was surrounded by my team and was able to lean on them for support, as well as learn a few things along the way.

I am beyond grateful for this incredible opportunity as a coach, and I am looking forward to the next time I get to support my athletes at an incredible event like this.

Coaching at this level is exhilarating, incredible fulfilling, and challenging for me. It’s really cool how something that was a passion project of mine quickly found its way into becoming a part of my career.

I want to give a HUGE thank you to all of the coaches that have mentored me and helped me develop into the coach I am today and the coach I am becoming. None of this would have happened without your teachings and support. You know who you are.

Janelle and Andrea, I am so incredibly proud of the work that you two put in leading up to the Games, as well as your efforts over the weekend. It was already a huge accomplishment to get to this point, but you both showed grit and put forth your best throughout the weekend, despite adversity in some situations.

Let’s do it again, shall we? ❤️‍🔥

Coaching at our first in-person semifinal this past weekend in Knoxville was an experience for the books, and absolutely a highlight of my coaching career so far.

Below are some of my biggest takeaways from the weekend from the lens of a coach in the sport of fitness:

1️⃣ No matter the outcome, competing at a high caliber event like an in-person semifinal is an invaluable and unique experience for someone looking to reach the highest level of the sport of fitness. For someone new to this level of competition, fighting alongside other high caliber athletes shows you where you truly stand among the best of the best. Having experience competing at this level is an advantage alone because you know what to expect with judging, logistics, and more.

2️⃣ Once you break through to the semifinal level, you’re among a new group of fierce competitors that want the same thing you do. You’re all fighting for the same outcome. Once you reach this point, I feel that there’s a sense of “starting over” from the “bottom,” solely from an experience standpoint. I feel that the more you can make yourself stand out from the rest of the field, the less you have to climb out of this theoretical “bottom” at this new level.

3️⃣ Game day coaching is less about dialing in a strategy and more about mentally and emotionally supporting the athlete. All the hard work, refining and strategizing should be done at this point. Making sure the athlete is appropriately warmed up and any necessary bodywork is done is also paramount. I wrote Lily’s warm-ups prior to this weekend and I’m glad I did, allowing me to focus on what she needed in the moment. The less the athlete has to think about these “small” details, the more they can focus on the task at hand.

4️⃣ Seeing how big name coaches and athletes operate in the warm-up area and behind the scenes humanizes them. The seasoned/veteran athletes go through the same emotions and have the same feelings that newer athletes have. The experienced coaches all have their own style of ensuring their athletes are prepared and ready to perform to the best of their ability once they take the floor.

Ready for more of this. ❤️‍🔥

This year marks my fourth year working with the , and it brings a lot of emotions with it.

For the past three years, I’ve worked alongside an incredible team of athletes led by and , bringing us to a championship win in 2023.

This year, we have joined forces and merged the team into the new . Before the merge, both teams had incredible talent and were two of the strongest teams in the league. Now, we join together as one.

This merge comes full circle for me, as is someone that I’ve always looked up to as a leader. Not only on the grid, but as a cash-based PT clinic owner much like myself.

With one win down and FIVE more to go this season, I could not be more blessed and grateful to support this team.

Let’s go Lions! 🦁🩵

SHE DID THE DAMN THING! 😤
29th overall and 7th in North America East 👑

Lily,

The past 3 years have been filled with countless long training and rehab sessions, qualifiers, competitions, late nights, early mornings, life lessons, mental breakdowns, and growth moments.

You’ve asked me countless times if I thought you were doing enough.
You’ve questioned for years if your efforts were paying off.
You’ve wondered when it would be your turn.

The exact moment that we’ve been working so hard and praying for is finally here.

You deserve every bit of what’s to come. I am beyond proud to call you my athlete, my best friend and my inspiration. It has been an absolute HONOR and BLESSING to co-coach you alongside for the past 3 years, and we are JUST getting started.

It blows my mind that I get to wear your coach pass in just a few weeks in Knoxville. What an absolute privilege it is going to be to guide you through your semifinal debut.

SYNDICATE CROWN WE COMINNNNN!!! 🤠❤️
