Artistic passions were in full bloom at our Thanksgiving Card Making class! Taught by our resident faculty, Ms. Renee Manago Griffin, this class allowed residents to express their creativity through making personalized greeting cards using a variety of colors, textures, and decorative materials, proving that Watermark University, one of our signature programs, is the foundation for lifelong learning.

A few days ago we celebrated Ms. Canary Girardeau's 95th birthday. Her family brought a cake to share with staff and residents during dinner, and we all sang "Happy Birthday" together. It was a simple, sweet moment that brought big smiles to everyone - especially Ms. Canary!🎉🎂

Meet Mr. George Hazel, a U.S. Air Force veteran and resident of The Sky Bridge of Town Center.

Mr. George Hazel proudly served in the United States Air Force for 4 years as an aircraft mechanic, specializing in four-engines jets. His expertise supported operations at both Loring Air Force Base in Maine and Plattsburgh Air Force Base in New York. As a member of the Strategic Air Command (S.A.C.), Mr. Hazel played a vital role in maintaining mission-ready aircraft and supporting national defense with skill, dedication, and professionalism.

Thank you for your service, Mr. George Hazel. We are deeply honored to have you as a member of our community.

Meet Dr. Patricia Ann Johnson Dowtin, a U.S. Army veteran and resident of The Sky Bridge at Town Center.

Dr. Dowtin joined the army when she was 34 with the goal of becoming a chaplain in the service. She rose through the ranks, beginning as military police before moving on to supply and final equal opportunity services. She achieved her master's degree in divinity and her doctorate in ministry as a prerequisite and eventually rose to the station; however, she had reached the end of her service. Dr. Dowtin served in the U.S. Army for 26 years.

This Veterans Day, we came together at The Sky Bridge at Town Center to pay tribute to the courageous heroes who have selflessly served our nation. Throughout the day, our community commemorated this significant occasion with a heartfelt Salute to Veterans program. We began with the national anthem, recognized each veteran by name, rank, branch, and years of service, and enjoyed an inspiring poem by our resident poet, Ms. Patricia Smith. Guest speaker Dr. James Dula shared a powerful and uplifting message of gratitude and service that deeply moved everyone. The celebration wrapped up with a sing-along of the Armed Forces Medley and refreshments for all.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all veterans for their enduring sacrifice and unwavering bravery. Thank you for your service!

What a blast! Our Fall Wreath Making Class turned the art studio into a swirl of leaves, laughter, and hot glue. Big thanks to CL associates Patricia, Maylyn, and Joshua for leading the fun — and to everyone who showed up with their creative energy! The wreaths turned out amazing, and the fall vibes were off the charts. ✨🍁
